Okay, coming from the dark side (PC's), I always used Sure Thing CD label software to make professional looking labels for all my CD-R's. It worked very well and was easy to use and allowed one to create a custom label of almost any kind. Is there a similar product for label creation on the Mac side? I downloaded and tried Label Printer Pro 6.2 recently but it's almost primitive compared to Sure Thing. What does everyone on the list use?

I use a permanent Sanford felt-tip marker designed for CD-R's. (of course, it came with a pack of cd's so it was kind of a no-brainer.)

Labels are not recommended on CD-R's' they can make the disk off balance, and the adhesive can degrade the data layer.

This per the NIST: <http://www.itl.nist.gov/div895/carefordisc/index.html>

That said, the latest version of iTunes will do jewel box liners and labels for burned , and Version tracker lists a half-dozen programs to do that. :

You can also find templates at most label manufacturers for a variety of programs.
