>I have an UltraTek ATA66 PCI controller given to me (it has a "Promise"

>Does this work for a Mac at all, and in any particular OS?

Promise made the UltraTek controller cards, but they are not identical to
the Promise UATA/66 cards.

There are subtle differences in the components, plus the firmware is
completely different.

If the card actually states UltraTek, then it is an UltraTek.

The UltraTek card will also have a ROM chip which states UltraTek.

Although Promise made the card for UltraTek, Promise did NOT make the
firmware ... FirmTek did.

The two cards are different enough that one cannot be made into the other
... without a lot of hard work and some proprietary (trade secret) info.

The UltraTek card will work with any MacOS which supports SCSI Manager
4.3, which should be every one from 7.6.1 on.
