Or whatever the four lead power deal is. I got the multimeter and checked and sure enough yellow is 12 and red is 5. What set me off on this high tech query is that in putting a fan on the heatsink of my ATX/G3 it has a red and black power lead to the fan itself, and a passthrough/ extension for the four lead (what I call Molex) and this color/voltage reversal confused me (the fan is clearly marked 12v). Moving right along (and inviting a thread name change for responders) I have a Mac black door floppy drive in one of the ATX case's 3.5" external slots and it works just fine, but looks like a chipped tooth. Question: can one of the PC type floppy faceplates be "just" snapped on? nuther topic: I want to try to get some use out of the USB ports on the front of the ATX case for things like thumb drives and cameras. The ports (2) have a lead wire that breaks into 8 leads 2 power 2 ground D2-, D2+, D3-, D3+ which seems pretty straightforward Question(s): on a 5 port USB card, will the leads be pretty easily plug and play or will A. only one of them be useable? Are all 5 port cards USB 2.0, and if so, will I be able to use this type card on a G3 Beige board with OS 10.2? (whew) -- All the Best,
