Tell us more! What kind of raid SCSI card did you use? What drives? How did you handle cabling, etc?
My SCSI card is the Apple installed Adaptec card. I believe it's a 2930U. The drives are the 47GB Seagate Elite series. They came from Surplus Computers in San Jose, CA, who had a horde of them at killer prices a year or so ago, after the San Jose IBM plant shut down. They are big; 28 platters per drive, slow, only 5400 RPM, heavy, but just about bullet proof. (They were designed for server use and carried a staggering warranty when new.) I bought them with no warranty except replacement if DOA. No factory packaging, but all the tech specs and information is on Seagate's web site. All the cabling came from Granite Digital. (Who were great about answering my questions about SCSI raid). I also used their bay coolers.

A few weeks ago, Surplus Computers was sold out of 47GB, but they still had the 23GB Elite drives on their web page at $2.99 each! Shipping costs more than the drives would. <G>
