How accurate that explanation is, is anyones quess, but I do know that out of the 12 discs that I had originally put the full labels on, all 12 play fine on my Mac and 2, in fact, will play fine on the home player, while the other 10 will just stop at various points during the disc.

So, what is it about the full labels that won't allow a DVD to work in some players?
As an interesting aside, I just noticed in the latest ClubMac catalog that Epson is advertising that some of its color printers will now print directly onto a CD or DVD. From the photos it appears that you put your disk in some kind of a holder which then takes it through the printer.
