Hi Brian,
Oh yes they did, and I have one! I believe your referring to ROM revisions
for the beige units, of which there is an A, B, and C revision. (B and C is
needed for the much-coveted 2-drive control on the main ATA bus.

The B+W had a Rev 1 and Rev 2 board, the difference being (for the most
part) the same issue: 2 drives on the (now) Ultra ATA bus - you'd think
Apple would have learned.

Incidentally, something I didn't learn until recently (school of hard
knocks) is that the B+W not only has a Rev 1 and Rev 2 board, it also has a
Rev 1 and Rev 2 case, where the Rev 1 has not enough room to stack 2 drives,
and the Rev 2 does.
