Hi I have a G4/400/AGP 10.3.3 to which I have just added a Pioneer 107D DVD +-RW burner.
At my first attempt using the drive to burn DVDs, I burnt a 'DVD Video' structured folder via Toast 5.2.3 to a new DVD-RW disk. However on replay, Apple DVD Player launches but fails to recognise the disk as DVD Video. The icon on the desktop is "DVD RW" and different to the icon you get when you insert a commercial DVD. So I suspect that is why I get the message:- "DVD Player encountered a System Error Could not detect a valid media file (-70025)" I suspect that this is because 10.3.3 and DVD Player expect DVD-R media for DVD Video? (or is it because I have the VIDEO-TS folder structured incorrectly. What is this 'media file' thingo ? The actual DVD-RW is recorded well and the files are there and can be copied, opened etc. ) Cheers all -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
