highly doubtful, considering all monitors are in fact rgb monitors, just the cable's
change, and you can get adapters from griffin to run anything on anything, honest!  it
also depends on the video card, the machine it's plugged into has nothing to do with it
(unless it's built in, but an adapter will still work!).  the IT guys just don't want 
to
mess with it or don't know better (few IT guys understand hardware well, i've fixed
monitors so i do know what i'm talking about).  sync on green is a real issue, if you 
need
it you definitely need the appropriate adapter or the picture will not lock in at all 
and
some monitors may even turn off.
