I have been playing around with X11 and Fink Commander under OS X on my B&W. I have even compiled a couple of programs like gnu backgammon and basiliskii to work with X11, but I feel like a kid exploring the moon.

Can you compile and run any x-windows apps under X11? Does it have to be a certain "flavour" of x-windows? Or do es it have to be a ppc version?

Does anyone know if there is a version of basiliskii with sound (then I would never boot into os9 again) that will work under X? The only ones I find don't have sound capabilities.

Thanks for any help from you experienced X11 users out there.

Tom
