I should have copied that QuickTime 4.1.3 folder to my external hard drive before I downloaded and installed version 6.0.3... but I didn't do it.
Photos which I have that were created with the Picture Viewer of QuickTime 4.1.3, and were easily viewable with a simple click, can now be viewed in Graphic Converter Classic or Movie Viewer with QuickTime translation. But, this involves extra steps, and produces images that don't always come up the right size, and lots of extra work. It was so much simpler when I had the Picture Viewer of QuickTime 4.1.3. I want to get that back. On my OS 9.1 CD, I can find and click on the Install QuickTime icon inside the QuickTime Install folder. But, I get a dialog box which says "The installer document "Install QuickTime" requires version 4.5.3 of the Installer application. Try opening the Installer application that is in the same folder as this Installer document." There is no other icon inside the QuickTime Install folder, other than the QT Tome icon. I have Installer Engine 4.5.6 installed, and listed in the System Profiler. Is it possible for me to be able to have QuickTime 4.1.3 and QuickTime 6.0.3 installed at the same time on the same start-up drive? Could I install version 4.1.3 on the external hard drive and run it from there? How can I access and install version 4.1.3 from my OS 9.1 CD? Please fill in any questions which I am too ignorant to ask. I downloaded version 6.0.3 because I thought it would help me to view some video clips which I couldn't access. I have found that it does work but not very well at all without a high speed connection. So, I would prefer to get version 4.1.3 back instead of version 6.0.3 if it is one or the other. If anyone out there wants to get in the slow lane awhile and help out, I would appreciate it. David Dudine -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
