does any one know of any good auction sites besides ebay? i loved ebay a lot, until the
dealers and scamers who constantly list porn etc. under computer stuff took it over, and

money. i'm looking for other auction sites both for buying and selling, and also any
scientific equipment auction houses people know of, i've used labx.com before but there
must be others. thanks.

There's Ubid.com, they're mostly overstock and refurbed equipment, and don't offer individual sales.

AOL did not buy E-bay. E-bay has always been an independent company, it does the buying (PayPal, and recently a 25% stake in Craigslist, which, while not a auction site, would be a place to look for stuff. )
