The best thing to do is mod a fan to the side of your heatsink. But other heatsinks
will work you just need tmake sure it has good contact with the CPU and it fit's so
you can close the case.

The more metal to metal contact the better it dissipates heat. You can fudge it a little with
a good thermal adhesive/conductor. It will fill in the gaps.

If your overclocking you'll need a fan, if not you shouldn't need one.
Peecee CPU's run a lot hotter due to the way they function.

I've tried all sorta of PC Fans and heatsinks but nothing works on my Beige
G3 since it iether is way too tight or won't stay on.

The heatsink/fan combo is designed for the socket and the module it receives.

Both the PC and the PPC use ZIFs.

You will need to find a fan/heatsink combo which is specifically intended
for a ZIF with the same number of pins as a PPC 750. Additionally, the
attachment spring is dependent upon the module's thickness.

I don't know of a PC chip which uses the same number of pins and the same
module thickness as the Mac ZIF.
