Well I use the original clip and file the slot wide enough for it to fit. And also so the grove goes a little deeper into the base of the heat sink.

The heatsink/fan combo is designed for the socket and the module it
receives.
Both the PC and the PPC use ZIFs.
You will need to find a fan/heatsink combo which is specifically intended
for a ZIF with the same number of pins as a PPC 750. Additionally, the
attachment spring is dependent upon the module's thickness.


I don't know of a PC chip which uses the same number of pins and the same
module thickness as the Mac ZIF.
