I recently was given a Sawtooth G4/400 that was nailed by a power surge. For
those who know, it blew out some of the ICs on the output stage of the power
supply, so I'm not the most hopeful.
I don't see any direct damage to the mainboard, but even with a modified ATX
power supply I don't get any response.
Seeing as my knowlege mostly revolves around the PowerSurge series of Macs, I
thought it might be worthwile to post here and see if any of you have any
suggestions for breathing some life into it. I'd love to have this machine as
it would make a worthwile upgrade from my Beige G3.
Also, what have you to say about CPU/motherboard replacements for it?
