are you sure you got the wiring right?  is the power supply turning on?  are any of the
fans in the mac running?  are you getting any startup sound or?  it's entirely possible
that the whole thing is zapped unfortunately, a large enough surge/spike can do that 
(or
worse, make part fail right away and other parts start dying off slowly after you've 
put
money into it...  i've seen that problem).  it's possible that even the drives are 
bad. 
have you removed the pram battery overnight (without power connected), pressed the
cuda/reset button and tried it again?  what if any life signs is it showing?  a little
more description would really help.  how badly did the power supply blow?  was the mac 
on
at the time?  was it connected to the phone line and/or ethernet cabling (which can 
pick
up a big spike from nearby lightning, especially if it's a long run).  was there any 
type
of surge supressor in use?  if so i assume that it blew?  lots of possibilities.  it is
possible that only the supply went and that you are having another problem trying to
jump-start it.
