The machine will be used for general home and gaming use, that said the
graphics card upgrade will be primarily necessary for gaming - would
today's 3d games like UT2003/UT2004 run on the flashed GeForce3 @ 1024 X 768
on such a machine (with a CPU upgrade to ~ 750 - 1.0 ghz) without a hitch?
I've read differening opinions on the system requirements - some say minimum
G5 with GeForce4. I do realize that the eventual cost of the upgrades might
match the cost of a new machine, however I'm on a limited budget and the
upgrades will be purchased gradually as my budget permits, enabling me to
start my primary objective - using OS X as a learning platform for UNIX.
