Lee, is the G3 set-up for networking/file sharing?

If you are on OS 9...
Click on the hard drive icon that the system folder in on, and "command "I"" (get 
info), click where it says "general" and scroll down to "sharing" (I think... this is 
all from memory - I'm in OS X).
In the sharing window, select the options you want (i.e.: reading/writing), and other 
limits -or not- that you want.  Click OK, wait a minute or 2, and this system should 
be recognized by all others on the network.
