I use a Netgear RT314 router - The firmware is browser independent for flashing/upgrading. In fact you can FTP into the router to upgrade the firmware. Perhaps the fact that the RT311/314 were built by Zyxel makes them different from other Netgear routers in this regard. ----- Original Message ----- From: "James Rice" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "G-List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, September 09, 2004 2:05 PM Subject: Re: Netgear Cable DSL router?
Netgear routers are platform neutral. Pure IP routing and they use web page setup. Netscape, Mozilla and IE all supported. The only quirk I have noticed is you have to use IE to reflash the firmware. I use them for Wintel, Sgi Irix, Sun Solaris, NeXTSTEP on black hardware, Mac both Classic and X, Linux and BSD, even DOS systems.
