just remember to change the password on the router from the default, or someone can
remotely take it over, there are several attacks against routers currently being used by
some people and viruses. otherwise, they work great!
This is super good advice, and one more nice thing about (current generation anyway) NetGear routers: by default, remote admin is disabled. Although I'm sure there are ways to try and break in, one of the easiest is at least disabled by default.
