Don't you need a keyboard to redirect where you boot from?

The ROMd bootstrap search order is floppy, CD 0, HD (SCSI 0 to 7), HD (IDE m,s). So sticking a bootable CD into a freshly zapped Mac should usually catch the floppy. If it doesn't, you can always pull the HD cables. Then the boot *will* find the CD, and you can then set the boot to be the CD specifically...
