I will concur. I'm using 10.3.5 on a couple of old beige G3 desktops and (aside from some visual glitz from Quartz Extreme) don't notice an extreme performance difference between them and my iBook. I even think it boots faster into X than 9.2.2. -- Brandon in Durham
