Thanks John, you're right. The hard drive is SCSI after all. Couldn't figure
out how to check it but I finally clicked on one of those arrows and there
it was, SCSI.
The scanner used to work, and works perfectly on Windows. I'm wondering if
there is some extension that may have clicked off. I know I checked the OS
9.2 extensions yesterday and the one for 'scanner' was off but I turned it
on again. I will try to boot it into 9.2 without running it in the shell
inside 10.2 and see if that works.
Secondly, I guess this means there are two SCSI buses, or whatever they are
called, or maybe just one. That might mean the hard drive might be
terminated so I'll have to figure out how to unterminate it. Could this be a
software termination? Doesn't make sense though since it used to work. If
anyone has any great insights, that would be great.
SANE seems to work with Panther, not Jaguar but I might give it a try when
the computer sees the scanner.
