I agree with Dan's post. However, I will answer your question about the password dilemma. As has been stated in a previous post, when you installed from the Emac disks it should have asked for you to input a user name and a password. If for some reason you can not remember what you entered, simply reboot to the installer disk # 1 again and go to the file menu. There you will find a " reset password " option.
