I think I would stick with the official release. http://www.t3.rim.or.jp/~harunaga/mozilla-macos9/ looks kinda iffy.
Yuk. That "unofficial", as he calls it, build looks like a mess. I don't think I'd recommend going near it.
Instead, get the WaMCom Moz 1.3.1 build.

Mozilla is an open-source project; more or less the results of the political bickering between AOL and Netscape, after the takeover. Shortly after the 1.2 builds, the developers taking care of the OS 8/9 support moved on (as I understand it). That's why Moz became unavailable for us.
Then along came Kai Engert, at WaMCom. He (and perhaps others; not sure) pitched in, fixed up the OS 8/9 support and put out a version of Moz 1.3.1. It's a full Mozilla, with his/their hard work added. It's stable, reliable, and much faster than Netscape 7.02 (which is actually based on the older Moz 1.0.2 build).
Since 1.3.1's release, a few security problems have been found in the Moz codebase. Kai points this out on the WaMCom web site. IMO, they're fairly trivial for our purposes. There are far worse holes in AOL's Netscape 7.02 and MS' Internet Explorer 5.x.
