Check the documentation for the router; I'll bet it uses a specific (and non-standard) queue name.

OSX provides a default of 'lp' or 'lpr' I think.

Quite right, I dug around (as I hate giving up) and I found the solution, I should add the print queue name "lp".

Now it works   :o)

Oh, BTW the answer was on D-Link's page, now why couldn't I have
gone straight there instead of trawling through Apple's pages ?!
