Sorry for the second worthless posting...

Good Luck

On a SUN Sparc server there is set-default and set-defaults (sun is the inventor of the open firmware), have you tried both?

set-default == resets a single parameter to the default value
set-defaults == resets all parameters to the default value

Actually I just read yet another forum where this command was listed and found that it was spelled with an 's' there as well, so I tired it and it worked! Still didn't fix my problem, but at least I don't think the problem is so much with the firmware as before. Just out of curiousity, does everyone else get a bad default if the command is typed in without the 's'? If so, I can cross this off my list as a possible cause. I still get the "no address property found!" listed twice at the top of the OF screen, so that is my only clue at the moment. To me it's very odd that I can reboot from YDL all day long and get the yaboot prompt screen each time. Do the same from either OSX or OS9 and I have to zap the PRAM before the prompt returns. Is there a command to print out the contents of the PRAM? Seems to me that it is the thing that is corrupted and not the nvram or OF. I read somewhere today that the disk and partition info is what is held in the PRAM, if only I could read the contents of it.

Just a message from Doug...
