Hello folks,

Just wanted to find out what kind of non-essential
files in OS X Panther are ok to toss into the trash
can (I have seen those ds store files). Thanks.

Ever watch the Panther Installer load its files? What's with all of those foreign language files that seem to take up half the install time?

Can't speak specifically about Panther but I recently did a clean install of Jaguar and there is an option to click off and not have the localized language files installed. You can select any single language or combination of languages to install. By default they are all installed if you don't go in to that option on the installer.

There is a freeware app by Mike Bombich called Delocalizer that will remove non-English files afterwards but I do not know if it works in Panther.
