Yes it will. That's what DVD-R means, that it will burn DVD-R disks. It won't burn -RW disks though, or +R or +RW.


Yu should be able to stick in a blank DVD-R disk and it should ask you what to do with it. If you want to use it in the Finder, be aware you need a little over 4GB free on your boot disk to accommodate the temp disk image.
