I have had a startup failure once today that happened to me once about three
years ago. After the first chunk of data is loaded, and when the elapsed
time bar is about 1/10 of the way completed, the startup does not continue.
Normally, the hard drive will stop chattering briefly and then the startup
proceeds.

A second try was successful. What trouble could this indicate, and is there
any cause for concern with this happening very rarely?
