Not off the shelf. Sweet's Multiport is the only commercial option.
I don't like that the SweetMultiport takes away FireWire and USBYou are gaining the front port location convenience. Not additional ports. You can get the same result with an external hub located in a handy location. Beyond those possibilities it gets into serious kit bashing. (There was a picture on the web awhile back of someone who had added hardwired firewire ports to the front of a Graphite G4) Certainly not an undertaking for the faint of heart.
port on the back of the Mac, and the PCI card they provide doesn't look like
it replaces those used ports--or am I missing something?
Also, what kind of hard drive can I put in the G3 without needing anotherATA is backwards compatible. An ATA 133 installed in an ATA 66, or other earlier ATA bus will just run at the slower bus speed.
PCI card? I know I can go to 128GB without a PCI card, but I'm confused as
to the differences between ATA, IDE, etc. I saw a good deal on a 120GB
Maxtor drive for $49.99, but it is advertised as ATA 133. Will it work?
What works better (or best?).
