Anyone know why my 2 lombard batteries won't keep a charge? Any tips and tricks out there? Last time I took it on the plane, between the 2 of them they held a good 4 hours. Now it's like 10 minutes! HELLLP!
First, make sure you've go the power settings set to something reasonable - permit processor cycling when on battery power, etc.
Then look into the batteries condition. Is your PowerBook able to charge them correctly? How old are the batteries? Have you reconditioned them?
On Apple's web sit there are a number of FAQs and other articles that go into great detail about how to handle batteries. Very useful. Search on something like "powerbook g3 battery"
