You're welcome, Leroy. I may not have been clear
about the USB Adapter Card Support, however. Version
1.2 is only for OS 8.1 - you'll need 1.4.1 for OS 8.6.
Apple's website isn't as user friendly as it used to
be, and finding the 1.2 download page is nearly

About where to find System software, I second the OWC
suggestion; www.macsales.com....
They currently have OS X 10.1 for $6! If you go with
10.1 make sure to update to 10.1.5 right away. I'd
suggest you go with 10.2 Jaguar, though - more stable
and responsive. I think it's ~$30(?) at OWC, and I
think I saw an OEM 9.1 CD there as well.
Also, you may be able to run that G3/400 ZIF at 433
MHz or faster. And if you really wanna tweak that
Beige G3 you can try faster bus speed settings (70,
75, or 83.3 MHz). Not all mobos tolerate the faster
settings, however, but my AIO is running a G3/350 at
375 MHz on 83.3 MHz bus just fine.
Before you try all that stuff, though, I'd recommend
upgrading to at least 512 MB RAM - you won't regret
it!
