Just as a data point, were they asking $90 a stick for _used_ memory? I can only hope they offer some sort of super-duper hand holding (or somehow add value) if that's the case. Can anyone on the list furnish numbers regarding how long memory should last? "Lifetime" warranties seem offered pretty freely, but I wonder if that is because most users will toss their machines after 2-3 years rather than actually hang onto them long enough for RAM to go bad.
