In a message Yersinia <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>writes: <<Can anyone here tell me what extension conflicts exist between IomegaWare1.0 and Mac OS 8.1? I know there are some, because the only way I can use the Zip drive from there is to boot up with extensions off. The owner's manual that came with my Zip drive listed some known extension conflicts.
[snip] here are the extensions listed in the manual as known conflicts. . . .>> All the extensions listed are related to disk mounting utilities. Other disk mounting utility extensions are also likely suspects. For example I had conflicts with SyQuest Utilities 4.01 and IomegaWare some years ago under OS 8. There may be other disk mounting utilities with similar conflicts. Suggestions: 1) Rename IomegaWare with a space before the name so it loads earlier in the startup process or with a ~ (tilde) so it loads later. 2) dump IomegaWare and use Mt Everything, SCSIProbe (both Freeware) or some other disk mounting utility instead. --glen (digest mode) -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
