<ok here I go again. has any one found any goof web sights like lowend
masc
that is dedicated to the mac world both with shareware and free ware and
down load softwear. and also for learning about mac wolrd. if any one
knows
of any web pages dedicated to the g3 it would be great.>

1. Other than Low End Mac (http://www.lowendmac.com), you can go to
Apple's web site (http://www.apple.com) to learn more about the G3 and
other Macs. Another thing you can do, and I really recommend this, is run
a Google search. Go to this site --

http://www.google.com

and type Macintosh G3 as your search parameter. You'll be led to all
sorts of links where you can learn about the G3 in general, as well as
your own (if you add your specific model: in my case I would type
Macintosh G3/233). You can also use Macintosh Freeware or Macintosh
Shareware as search parameters to shop around for applications you need
or might want to try out on your Mac.

Forgive me, Dave, but I don't remember which G3 you have, other than that
it's a beige desktop. I also don't remember what OS you're running on.
The OS is important to know (you can find it by accessing the Apple menu
while you're in the finder, under "About This Computer" or "About This
Macintosh"), because some applications have specific OS requirements.
IOW, don't waste your time downloading an app your OS won't run, and if
you know a specific shareware or freeware program you want -- or even a
program you want so bad that you're willing to buy it online full price,
when you run your Google search, make sure to enter the name of the
program and your OS so that you can find versions you can run.
