I'm assuming the original file is MPEG 1. Sorry, I haven't been following the thread. If so, demux it. ( Separate the video and audio streams.) Import each into iMovie. Make sure the audio stream is in sync with the video. Export as DV. Use Sizzle or MMT-EZ (my personal favorite, if you don't need a lot of bells and whistles on the finished product) to compress it to DVD, or what ever you want to. Burn the file to a DVD or a CD disk, if it's small enough.
