It also has an 80 pin to 68/50 pin SCA adapter. The drive will not
work at all with my ATTO UL2D controller in my Beige G3 266 rev 1. It
only works on the internal (s-l-o-w) SCSI bus... a complete waste of
it's LVD capabilities. I tried numerous configurations, ATTO card
firmware versions and expensive terminators to no avail.

Are you sure that the SCA adapter is a LVD model. There are two types
of these adapters. They make a model for LVD and one for SE. I have
run into this before where my adapter didn't support LVD. Just a
suggestion.

That's a very good question! I was not aware the adapters differed in that respect but I did suspect that the adapter may not be working correctly since that was the one item I had no way of verifying. The adapter was provided with the drive by the ebay seller... but that doesn't mean it's the right one.

Thanks, Mike
