ok another question when i set the printer up it said somthing like aple share will need to be diosconected and i said ok know when the computer starts it gives me a remider that that is not active what is apple share. also there is another email program on here that starts up when you start up how do i dump that one.
Which OS? Which model Mac?
Most likely,,, you're using an older Mac that has serial ports, and the classic OS. By default, AppleTalk has a grip on your printer port. To use it for printing, you need to point AppleTalk elsewhere. Do this in the AppleTalk control panel.
