Turn on file sharing  on both Macs and you should see them on the network 
and move the files you want on the other into the  Shared folder once you 
have filesharing turned on. Or go get a copy of KDX (Server Client) and 
install it on the Mac your wanting to move files out of , and then get KDX 
(Client) for the Mac that wants to take the files off that other Mac, Read 
the instructions on KDX use that should do the trick.

files from the Beige G3 through the ethernet, apple-talk, and file share?
or is there more to it than that?
