So, can't you just drag the system folder off of the OS 9 CD and then run it in classic? I don't use Classic....so I have no idea.
When I have done it in the past it has complained that it isn't meant for general use, that it is just for doing installations. And it isn't since it is missing a number of things (TCP/IP for one). It's possible once you've dragged this over you can then run the installer to then install OS 9 on the HD.
I think it was here that I posted recently that there is a package on one of the installer CD/DVDs that installs OS 9 for Classic use only.
