hi james,

i've been looking at this issue too. the mac cards seem twice if not three
times the price of their pc cousins.

from what i've found out on this list and from looking round the net, there
is a 99.9% chance that the card will work in a recent (g4+?) mac running x.
interestingly, most of the card sites they support all of the windows os's
and most of the bigger linux installations - hopefully this in some way will
include x?

the only issue seems to be that you will not be able to boot from the drives
that are connected to the card.

to that end, we've just purchased a ata 133 card and a new hd to go in a g4
500mhz agp that we use as a server. if we get it up and running, i'll let
you know.

hth,

jake
