Look at the three memory sticks and make sure that all three have memory modules on both sides of the stick. These are known as 'fully populated" or "low density" sticks. The Beige memory controller can read "high density" memory (ie modules on only one side of the stick), but it will only read as half the actual value (ie 256mb will read as 128mb).
