Hard Drives have MTBF (mean time between failure) ratings.  No matter what
brand you get it will die...eventually.  Usually 3-5 years for an ATA
drive...sometimes sooner.  SCSI drives last longer.  SCA drives last even
longer than SCSI.  

Personally I have had the best luck with Maxtor ATA drives.  I have about 60
clients and install several hundred HD's per year. They tend to be the best,
and their warranty service is great.  Customer service is excellent too.
