Happy New Year!

Out of the blue, my kanga has suddenly begun to just turn off when on
battery power. It was happening when it was moved, but now whenever I run it
on battery power it will suddenly cut off at the most inconvenient times.
Could this be due to a loose battery connection? If so, any ideas on how to
correct?

It's a design fault. Apple has a repair procedure that puts a length of tape along the battery or battery compartment. I did it myself to my daughter's Kanga and it seems to have fixed it.

As you look at the battery in the normal orientation the tape goes on the back edge of the battery. I used some ordinary electrical tape. You have to experiment with the length and number of layers. It does make the battery rather tight but that is the idea.
