I normally shut down at night, but left it running to finnish a download from a slow site. Got up this morning and my Mac would not wake up from sleeping. Tried everything I could to get it to wake up and finally pulled the plug.

It restarted fine and then after a couple of minutes I got a message that was white (or amber, I forget) text on black background. Note that the whole screen did not go black, just under the text was black and I could see the rest of the screen. The whole system froze, no mouse, KB etc. I pulled the plug again and got it to restart and run long enough to forward a couple of important emails to work then shut down.

Of course this happened on a morning that Mom had to leave early, so I had to take care of getting the girls ready for school and I did not have time to write down the entire error message, but here is the gist of the first line:

System Failure CPU=0 Code 00000001 Corrupt Stack

There was a lot more text, about 15-20 lines. Mostly hexadecimal code. The last line was something like:

Waiting for remote login

From the reports I have heard about what a Kernel Panic looks like, I do not think this is one, but PLEASE correct me if I am wrong.
Kernel Panic--archive and reinstall should fix
System Failure real problems I think.

My system is a 533 Digital Audio with a Quicksilver 933 processor with the 12v mod, 1Gig Ram, main drive is a 120G off the onboard ATA with a 160G on a Ahard ata133 controller. Running 10.3.7.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
Len
