Wow, I really didn't mean for this to turn into a rant against Sony. I was
more interested in ideas of why Apple is seemingly turning away from
Canon.

But since we're talking about Sony - I've often heard that while their
mid-range and below products are pretty unreliable, their top end stuff is
usually *very* good (note that Jobs *was* holding their new HD Camcorder
when he made these comments..."the year of HDTV", etc). I doubt Sony would
put el-cheapo buttons on a $3500 item. But maybe I'm just naive...
