Er, all my PCs have USB k&m and they're all 600MHz or slower. Same at work, except they're all around 3GHz...
Here, we've only just started getting USB mice; keyboards are still PS2 standard; we get Gateways and Dells. USB keyboards are optional.
The little USB-PS/2 converters we get with these systems work with mice, but not keyboards.
The ones I've seen are not converters but simply connection adapters. The mouse itself sense the adapter and switches from USB to PS/2.
I will not be surprised if Apple starts quietly including PS/2 keyboard-USB adapters with the Mini, or selling special 'Switcher' kits that include them.
At the Apple Store site on the Mac Mini purchase page they list a Wired Keyboard and Mouse set at $58 so that's not too bad.
