Not to start a flame but 10.1.X eeewwwww.... I launched a 10.2.8 session the other day and man it was painful. Since I went to 10.3.X I have had ZERO regrets and never, never use Classic mode. Mind you I don't run any classic appz...

Having just inherited an APC UPS from where I used to work, I'd like to add that when it comes to Mac OS support it's worth investigating carefully. Like Bruce says, the later models have better support but you need to be running (from memory, so I might be wrong here) 10.2.3 or later and only certain models are supported. For pre-OS X only 9.x is supported, again with a limited number of models, but Apple actually included UPS support in its Energy Saver control panel, etc. so my B&W running 9.2.2 gets a few more options even though the APC software doesn't recognize the UPS when the USB cable is plugged in. Shame I'm spending more and more time in 10.1.5 though, ready for when Tiger comes out - 10.1.x has got no UPS support so I need to be around when the APC kicks in, just in case the power doesn't come back soon enough :-( Neil -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
