On a related note, My PowerMac G4 Dual-533 has a stock Apple-supplied
Geforce 2 MX. I'd like to install a better card, but on the cheap.
Would getting a PC AGP Geforce 2 MX with 64 MB RAM and flashing it to
Mac result in better performance due to the 64 MB versus 32 MB of RAM?
Or would I only see a benefit performance-wise by going to a higher
model such as a Geforce 3 or Radeon 8500? Even if it didn't have a
performance benefit, as long as the card had all of DVI, VGA and
s-video outputs, I'd see benefit as I really want a card that has
s-video too. Lastly does anyone have a source for inexpensive
mac-flashable PC video cards?

Hi. I have a 64MB nVidia (GeForce 2 I imagine) that was taken out of
a PC.
It is a PCI card. I was wondering if this could be used in a Mac,
and how.
Is any flashing required? What about drivers/operability under both
OS 9 and
OS X? Macs in question, not like I think it should make any
difference, are a
Beige G3, Blue G3, and perhaps a Sawtooth.
