Also consider a dremel to grind a std screwdriver slot in it and just turn it out then. But if you break it off, it can be worse. As long as it isn't really tight, this should work.

If you go with the dremel, remember that those little grinders really wind up, something like ten thousand RPM, and little bits of metal and grinding wheel will fly right into your eyes if you don't wear safety goggles. Protect your eyes!
